Dorel believes that Language of Caring is a powerful vehicle for tapping the unique strengths of individuals and organizations, inspiring them to be the best version of themselves in each and every moment.

For the past 20 years, through her own consulting firm, she has collaborated with social impact clients in the healthcare and non-profit sectors to create thriving organizations. Her emphasis in each engagement is on helping clients build and nurture relationships with patients, families and each other in service to their mission.

Dorel is a Certified Leadership Coach through the Georgetown University Center for Transformational Leadership. She is also certified as a Professional Coach by the International Coach Federation. Dorel has many years of experience coaching CEOs, executive directors and senior leaders.

On the Healthcare Experience: “While my years as senior leader in healthcare were formative, it was my own experience with breast cancer that elevated for me the critical need for caring, compassionate communication in healthcare settings. I will never forget the many expressions of caring and kindness offered during my time in treatment and beyond, not just from doctors and nurses, but also from technicians, receptionists and parking attendants. It was these experiences, as well as the moments in which caring was invisible, that inspire me every day to bring compassion into people’s lives when they are at their most vulnerable.”
