On the Healthcare Experience: “For years, I have been passionate about the power of communication to enhance the patient and family experience and influence health outcomes. I see communication as a treatment modality and am determined to help healthcare professionals sharpen, consciously and intentionally apply advanced communication skills. Recently, my personal health challenges have fueled my commitment even more. I continue to receive exceptional, heartwarming care from a healthcare team that had previously experienced the Language of Caring program. It is thrilling to be on the receiving end when people make their caring palpable in every interaction.”

What I enjoy: “I love to travel and hike. And whether it’s at work or beyond, I relish being a coach and mentor. My greatest enduring joys are family, friends, the beach, and laughter.”

My Favorite Quote: “My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness.” – Maya Angelou
